10 Reasons Why Sushant Singh Rajput Is The Next Shah Rukh Khan In The Making.
Bollywood has always been a little biased when it comes to making stars. One either needs to have strong connections with the who’s who of Bollywood or one should be a star kid in the industry. It is no secret that people from non-starry backgrounds have it rough here. Brilliant actors like Irrfan Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui Bollywood have made a niche for themselves solely on the basis of their talent. Sushant Singh Rajput is another such actor who has emerged as one of the finest in the current lot of actors today. He is aiming for excellence, and is achieving it one film at a time. Here are 10 reasons that make him the next Shah Rukh Khan in the making.
1. It’s not easy for an actor to move into Bollywood from Indian soap operas. Many other television stars have tried their luck in Bollywood but couldn’t carve a place for themselves. Sushant Singh Rajput appeared as a lead in two daily soaps, ‘Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil’ and ‘Pavitra Rishta’, before he ventured into Bollywood, and was more than a known face in the TV industry. He won almost every major award in the best actor (male) category. History had proved that TV actors who were familiar faces with the Indian audience hadn’t been able to do well in Bollywood.

2. He is a one-woman man. While most Bollywood actors have a patchy personal life and some even have a string of polygamous relationships, Sushant Sing Rajput is engaged with his long-time girlfriend and co-star from his television days, Ankita Lokhande. They both even appeared on season four of the celebrity dance reality show ‘Jhalak Dikhla Ja’. He even plans to marry soon, probably this year only. He is indeed synonymous to the word ‘commitment’.

He proposed to Ankita on national television around four years ago. Check out the cutest proposal.
3. Sushant Sight Rajput understands the pain of true struggle. Many would say that he started off with daily soaps but his struggling days start way before that. Dropping out of a prestigious engineering college in Delhi to pursue his dream was a brave decision he took. Dazzled by the starry flare of Shaimak Davar dance troupe, he joined the troupe and performed in many Filmfare award shows and also the Commonwealth Games of 2006. Before he even got recognition in the TV industry for his acting capabilities, he had started doing theatre as part of a theatre group ‘Ekjute’. And with one tiny but quick step at a time he got his golden Bollywood ticket with Abhishek Kapoor’s ‘Kai Po Che’.

4. Sushant Singh Rajput is the quintessential guy next door with a humble family background. Born in Patna, he grew up with four elder sisters who laid the foundation of the strong character he posses. His father is a government official and his mother was a homemaker. The young actor is still very much attached to his roots and hasn't let success get to his head.

5. Sushant Singh Rajput does one movie at a time. From a quintessential and titular Bengali detective in the 1940s in ‘Detective Byomkesh Bakshy’ to an over-protective elder brother and uncompromising friend in ‘Kai Po Che’, Sushant puts his heart in every role that he does. Sushant Singh Rajput does one film at a time so that he has undivided attention to the character and give his best to that particular movie. No wonder even in a star-studded movie like ‘PK’, his small role of Sarfaraz Yousaf shone out.

6. He is one of the few actors of our generation who understand method acting. Moreover, he has not given in to the temptation of choosing senseless no-brainer movies from the 100-crore club. It’s true that all his movies so far have been Bollywood entertainers but he has picked up only the ones with sensible storylines. Kudos to him for not opting for ‘hero-centric’ clichéd Bollywood movies, and rather doing good cinema.

7. Sushant Singh Rajput is probably one of the fittest actors in the current lot of Bollywood starlets. He may not show off his toned body, but he sure knows how to keep it in perfect shape. He believes in keeping a strong core rather than focusing too much on the aesthetics of the body. A healthy lifestyle and a god-gifted tall stature is a deadly combination that a Bollywood star can have.

His new video series #TillIGetItRight gives a brilliant insight into his daily workout routine which is an inspiration for everyone.
8. Sushant Singh Rajput fearlessly experiments with the roles he picks. Instead of focusing on mainstream masala movies, Sushant is doing what most newcomers would fear to do – experimenting with roles. With just four movies so far and a fifth upcoming one being a biopic on Indian cricket captain MS Dhoni, Sushant Singh Rajput has displayed all the potential of being a superstar in the years to come. Talking of his acting capabilities, he has reportedly bagged a significant role in Shekhar Kapur’s post apocalyptic ‘Paani’ with Hrithik Roshan in the lead.

9. Sushant Singh Rajput is a fantastic dancer. It was his love for dance which lured him to Bollywood. After learning different dance forms, he continued to explore his passion for dance even when he was a part of the TV industry. Participating in dance reality shows like ‘Zara Nach Ke Dikha’ and ‘Jhalak Dikhla Jaa’, he proved he was a jack of allTRADES.

The movies he has done so far had few or no scope for dance but in a promotional video for the movie ‘Detective Byomkesh Bakshy’, he showcased his wicked dance moves.
10. Sushant Singh Rajput is probably one of the most humble stars to have landed in Bollywood. Even with all the success and accolades he received so early in his career, he is still as humble and kind-hearted as he was before. Judging by his demeanour on and off camera, he remains the guy who knows he is a common man before being the star he is.

Sushant Singh Rajput is truly an inspiration to millions who are afraid to pursue their dreams. He’s the man who knows where his heart is, is humble and hardworking, and truly a superstar in the making!
