BJP's PM candidate attacked Congress vice-president  Rahul Gandhi and lauded Shivraj Singh Chouhan's government at a rally in Shahdol, a tribal region in Madhya Pradesh, on Wednesday.

Highlights of Modi's speech in Shahdol in MP:

- Congress shows one hand before polls and loots with two hands afterwards.

- Our Congress friends mock the poor. They promised to reduce prices in 100 days. Did that happen?

- Poor do not like to beg or get things for free. They want a life with dignity, they want to work and earn a living.

- What BJP governments have done for tribal communities no Congress government has done.

- Wherever BJP has got a chance to form the government, see the efforts they made towards development of tribal communities.

- Congress feels by taking name of poor 50 times a day they become compassionate for the poor.

- I congratulate Shivraj-ji. He built medical and engineering colleges and gave opportunities to the youth.

- Congress ran the government here for 50. Had it ran schools property, the poor would have been flying planes, not thinking of going getting on planes.

- Tribal communities were there for a long time. But Atal-ji created a separate department for their welfare.

- Congress comes to ask for your votes and talks about poor and marginalised.

- For 50 years did Congress remember working for women & children.

- People are angry on Congress. They want to punish it.

- Let there me scorching heat, BJP cannot do rallies in middle of cities, we have to do it far as so many people attend.

- We are very proud of Shivraj-ji. He and lakhs of karyakartas are devoted to serving people of MP.

- MP government under Shivraj-ji has done lot of work to protect forests, for upliftment of tribal communities and women.

- This visit here is not an election visit. I am not here only to ask for votes, this district is a pilgrimage for me. WATCH FULL SPEECH
