HANUMANJI GADHA FOUND IN SRI LANKA DURING EXCAVATION

STORY:

Hanumanji Gadha found in Sri Lanka during excavation.
Two cranes were used to lift it....
Jai Hanuman !!!

OTHER VERSIONS

The world's Largest Gada of Veer Hanuman at Gujarat...

HOAX OR FACT:

Hoax.

ANALYSIS:

This picture circulating heavily on social networking websites claims to show the Hindu God Hanumanji's Gadha (mace) which is supposedly discovered during an excavation in Sri Lanka. Other versions said it is the world's largest Gada of Veer Hanuman at Gujarat. The claims are not facts.
Lord Hanuman is a famous Hindu deity known for his strength, discipline and dedication. Gada is his weapon that he carries to destroy evil. In the Hindu epic of Ramayana, Lord Hanuman fights with Ravana in Sri Lanka to help his master Lord Rama get back his abducted wife Sita. Perhaps this is the reason why the picture in question is associated with such a claim.
The Gada shown in picture is real, but as such it does not belong to Lord Hanuman, and is not discovered in Sri Lanka or Gujarat for that matter. It actually shows a 45 feet Gada 'made' for installation with a 125-foot-high Hanuman statue in the outskirts of Indore, India - on the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti (birthday) on 25 April 2013. As quoted in Hindustan Times epaper:
A 45-foot-long mace (Gada) of Lord Hanuman weighing 21 tonnes being taken out in a procession from Nanda Nagar to Pitra Parvat on the outskirts of Indore on the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti on Thursday for installation with a statue of Hanuman, which is 125-foot-high.
The video shows a part of the procession where the mighty mace, Hanuman Gada is carried to the temple in outskirts of Indore, India.

RSS backs Naqvi rebellion over Sabir Ali's induction into BJP

In an explosive tweet, BJP vice president Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi vent out his anger at the induction of expelled JD(U) leader Sabir Ali into the party fold, saying soon Indian Mujahideen leader Yasin Bhatkal and Dawood Ibrahim would be joining the BJP.

Terrorist Bhatakal friend join BJP...soon accepting dawood.........

; Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi (@naqvimukhtar) March 28, 2014
The tweet came hours after Sabir Ali formally joined the BJP at party's headquarters in Delhi.

Impelled by the angry outburst by the leader, the BJP has decided to reconsider the decision, said party sources.

RSS leader Ram Madhav tweeted, "Sabir Ali's induction has caused great resentment. Party leadership has been apprised of the strong views of the cadre and people against it."

Naqvi however defended party leaders saying they may not be aware of Ali's background and said the decision should be taken back just like Sri Ram Sene chief Pramod Muthalik.

"A terrorist like Bhatkal was arrested from his house. Somewhere the party has made a mistake," he said.

"If we can kick out Muthalik because he is Hindu-vadi, we can correct this mistake... We are well wishers of the party. How can we justify that a person who supported a terrorist is a member of the party," he said.

This is the second instance of a senior BJP leader going public his or her dissent over a party decision in last few days.

Senior BJP leader Sushma Swaraj had earlier tweeted opposing the entry of BSR Congress leader B Sreeramalu in Karnataka.

Even after the entry of Sreeramalu, who is linked to the Bellary mining scam accused Reddy brothers, Swaraj had again tweeted that the same has been done despite her opposition.

BJP President Rajnath Singh had later said that he does not approve of party leaders going public on party matters.

Live: Why is Congress silent on price rise, asks Modi at Mandla (MP) rally

Live: Why is Congress silent on price rise, asks Modi at Mandla (MP) rally

Gujarat Chief Minister and BJP’s PM candidate Narendra Modi today accused Congress of ignoring the serious issue of increasing prices.

Addressing an election rally in Mandla of Madhya Pradesh, Modi said that Rahul Gandhi did not care to say anything on price-rise when he visited MP recently.

“Do they come to answer you? Those who don't believe in democracy they and their leaders can't serve people.Shahzada came to MP. He met women but did he say a thing on rising prices? He said in 2009 that we will reduce prices in 100 days. People voted for them in 2009, they formed a government but what happened, did prices fall? No, prices only increased,” said Modi.

“Election time is on but no Congress leader is willing to answer or even talk about rising price. Nothing has been left. They have looted the people. Should they not answer about corruption? Such irresponsible thought process will only ruin this nation and that is why we have to fulfil the dream of making a Congress Mukt Bharat,” added Modi.

Asking people to vote for BJP in large numbers,  Modi said,”No other Government can match the work done by all the BJP governments for tribal welfare. Shivraj ji has made a place in hearts of tribals.Today every member of tribal community thinks Shivraj ji is a member of our family. No Congress leader can match this.See the work done by Atal ji and Shivraj ji. our Govt in Delhi will also be devoted to welfare of tribal communities.”

97-year-old man's appeal to vote a hit online

97-year-old man's appeal to vote a hit online

Just short of being 100 years old, a mountain man's appeal to the nation to vote has 10 times the number of hits online than a Bollywood megastars' musical video staring Amitabh Bachchan and Dia Mirza.

The story of Shyam Saran Negi, 97, one of the oldest voters in India and a believer in democracy since 1951, and the musical video were posted by Google India under its Pledge To Vote campaign March 24.

The 2.34-minute video on Negi, showing him trudging through snow-laden paths to reach a polling booth to exercise his franchise, has over 33,000 viewers till Thursday, whereas the musical video has over 3,000 viewers.

The musical video features Amitabh Bachchan, cricketer Virender Sehwag, Dia Mirza, Swara Bhaskar, Sakshi Tanwar, Arjun Rampal, Hrishitaa Bhatt and Raima Sen.

"The upcoming Indian elections will be the largest democratic election in history, with over 800 million voters. This is the true story of a man who never missed an opportunity to vote.

"Shyam Saran Negi, a school teacher from a remote village in the foothills of the Himalayas, has voted in every general election since 1951. He pledges to vote in the 2014 elections, and so should you," says Google India.

"Voters should exercise their right to franchise and hand over the reins of government to an honest leader who can end corruption and check price rise," Negi told IANS in an interview.

Negi lives in the picturesque Kalpa village, located at an altitude of 10,000 feet and some 275 km from the state capital, in Kinnaur district, which is known for its delicious apples.

The nonagenarian, whose immediate family includes his wife, four sons and five daughters, said it is important to vote. He has several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

"I was told about NOTA (None of the Above) option. I believe one must use the right to franchise," said Negi, eagerly awaiting the polling day in Himachal Pradesh May 7.

Need law to enforce manifesto promises, says Narendra Modi in Gumla rally

Narendra Modi termed the Congress manifesto as "a bundle of lies" on Thursday, and called for a law to ensure that ruling parties implemented their promises.

"The Congress manifesto is a bundle of lies," Modi told at an election rally in Jharkhand's Gumla district.

"The Congress had promised to control food prices in 2004 and 2009 and the same promise has been made in 2014," he said.

"The Congress had promised jobs to everyone, and the same promises have been made again. The manifesto is a bundle of lies."

The Gujarat chief minister said the Election Commission should frame a legislation so that parties which win elections should be made answerable vis-a-vis the promises made in their manifestoes.

"This will prevent the lies (from getting into) the manifesto."

Modi also accused the Congress of ignoring tribal interests all over the country.

"It was the Atal Bihari Vajpayee government which formed a separate tribal welfare ministry," he said.

"In states where tribal population is more, like Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Gujarat, the tribals are giving a chance to the BJP to govern them".

He came down heavily on the Maoist guerrillas.

"I bow to you people for coming to this rally in large numbers despite a Maoist strike. This shows the strength of democracy. Democracy is more powerful than the gun."

He reminded people that it was a Bharatiya Janata Party government led by Vajpayee which formed Jharkhand by carving it out of Bihar.

"If the Congress had been in power at the centre, Jharkhand could not have been created."

Maoists blow up mobile towers ahead of Modi rally in Bihar .

Hours ahead of BJP prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi's visit to Gaya in Bihar, Maoists blew up two mobile towers exploding powerful bombs in two areas of Gaya district on Thursday.

About one hundred Maoists gathered in the areas and blew up two mobile towers of a private company by exploding powerful bombs at Manjhauli and Dumaria Bazar villages late last night, Superintendent of Police Nishant Tewari said.

The ultras have called a bandh in the Maoist-hit districts of south central part of the state in protest against the killing of ten of their cadres in Chhatra recently.

Modi is scheduled to address two election rallies at Maoist-hit Sasaram and Gaya this afternoon.

"We have anticipated all types of threats from the Maoists and terrorists. Security arrangements are being made accordingly," Director General of Police (DGP) Abhayanand had said yesterday.

At least seven people, including a suspected bomber, were killed and nearly 100 injured just ahead of a rally by Modi in Patna on October 27, 2013.
